Summertime, Anytime!

CAN YOU BELIEVE WE’RE STILL IN A LAND OF MASKS, ZOOM, AND COVID NUMBERS?

Well, we are and probably for a long time to come. So yes, we are sick of virtual ideas but here are some fun and different ones to kick those boredom blues most of which you can actually do OUTDOORS:

• The Huntington Botanical Gardens just reopened

• Take an archery class

• The Arboretum is a great way to get outside

• A virtual rosé wine festival

• Go antique shopping

• Sneak a peek at the Santa Monica Pier at all hours of the day (or night)

• Take a beautiful walk around Descanso Gardens

• Kayak the Channel Islands

• Tour Heritage Square and see some beautiful vintage homes

• Send a bizarre singing telegram to a friend

• Have an immersive Vampire Pizza event at your home

• Take a virtual tiki cocktail class

• See a drive-in movie at the Rose Bowl

• A "tiki bar to-go" delivered to your door

• Virtually visit Delicious Little Tokyo's Annual month-long event

• Make the best alcoholic popsicles

EXTRA: Did you know that you could take a staycation and stay in a local hotel for a discount? A number of hotels are giving locals a significant discount if you book soon. They have now implemented mandatory safety protocols regarding sanitization. Here’s are some hotel deals for Santa Monica.

Remember, at L.A. ANY DAY, I also plan day/staycations as well.
